Ggggggaaaa this couple had me smiling from ear to ear when they told me about their plans for their big day, how they met & what they did on a daily basis aka their jobs! These two are the perfect match & some of the most kind-hearted souls I've ever met.
From the start, I loved the fact they wanted, & were open, to jumping in the deep end to take the challenge and do one of my favourite shoots with me where we drove out to CJ's family bach at Piha beach and enjoyed the stunning sunset.
As for their wedding day, CJ looked breathtakingly beautiful and I can guarantee Cam agreed by the expression on his face when she walked down the aisle! From the bouquet to the dress, the reception details to the food, everything was incredibly well executed.
From the first coffee, I knew these two were head over heels for each other. I loved getting to know CJ & Cam and I'm incredibly excited for their next new adventure.
Wedding Featured via NZ Weddings Magazine - "Cameron proposed by gifting me a photobook titled, ‘The Remarkable Adventures of CJ and Cam’. It was filled with photos of us and on the last page was a picture of Cam making my engagement ring. Newly engaged, we traveled to the United States and Mexico. In Los Angeles, I visited Kiwi designer Trish Peng’s showroom and was delighted to discover her custom designs reflected the vision I’d had for my gown. Trish designed my strapless crepe de chine silk gown, featuring a sweetheart bodice with off-the-shoulder sleeves and 3D floral beaded lace. I accessorised with a Trish Peng veil, heels from Shoes of Prey, earrings from Samantha Wills and a personalised leather clutch, gifted to me by my mum.
Our ceremony venue, The Ship in Auckland’s Herne Bay, featured wonderful views over the water. We decorated it with white bunting and a lush overgrown floral arch, and lined the aisle with greenery. I loved the eye-catching pops of pink and white florals paired with eucalyptus and tropical greenery created by Lu Diamond Flowers – Lucy was even able to source king proteas for me, despite them not being in season!
The Sapphire Room in Ponsonby was the ideal venue for our urban boho-themed reception, with its recycled wooden floors, high ceilings, and industrial fittings. We decorated trestle tables with tall candles, rose gold cutlery, Rosaline glasses, and pastel blue table runners, while potted succulents doubled as guest favours. Festoon lights and white papel picado (Mexican paper craft) hung from the ceiling to complement our Mexican menu. Our 100 guests were welcomed with a ‘his or hers’ cocktail and Barulho in Parnell served up large platters laden with Mexican-style meats, salads and sauces. Our three-tiered semi-naked cake was adorned with flowers and freeze-dried fruits, with each layer featuring a different flavour: flourless chocolate, blueberry and rhubarb, and gluten-free orange. Towards the end of the night, I pulled Cam aside so we could soak in the moment together. Seeing all our guests enjoying themselves made us so proud of the epic event we had pulled off – we couldn’t have asked for a better day."
From the moment I met with Krissy I knew she had a pretty unique story to tell and, needless to say, I was pretty much over the moon after our meeting to get the email to say she wanted to go ahead and have me capture their big day. First stop was an e-shoot in their classy retro home.
I don’t tend to write a novel when I do blog as I’m no writer but it is nice to show my appreciation to my couples for choosing me so I choose to write a little - bear with me!
Ash + Krissy’s day was incredible - rain, hail or shine, they decided they were going to tie the knot on a clifftop near Hot Water Beach in Coromandel and bring all their favourite people together to witness the start of something pretty magical. It was a stunning day, styled beautifully, the food was out of this world and amongst the laughter there were many many tears - happy ones and a few sad but overall I was so honoured to have been part of their big day. I think I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again - I love my job! - the couples I get to meet and feeling all the feels of a wedding day is pretty darn amazing.
Congratulations Krissy and Ash on putting on one hell of a wedding, making memories and starting your new journey together.

When Abbey + Dan got in touch for me to shoot their big day they didn't have much planned other than knowing they wanted to keep it local for friends and family - who I must say absolutely adore these two!
Based in the Waikato region, they decided on St. Peter's Cathedral for the officials, before taking the party to the beautiful Cambridge Town Hall, which was an epic location for a reception and completely enabled them to execute their dream of a "minimalist-styled wedding with a touch of class".
I loved getting to know these two - Abbey with her gorgeous & contagious smile that lights up a room, and Dan, a down to earth creative soul. It was a day full of drinking good coffee, lots of laughter, dancing in alleyways and racing against the autumn sunset.
All in all, a pretty perfect day and one I'd love to do all over again in a heartbeat!
Abbey + Danial were featured in issue 9 of Together Journal so check it out to find out more about their story!
"I am constantly learning and finding new ways to love Dan. I will spend the rest of my life trying to better myself for our marriage." - Abbey
Not even periods of torrential rain could hold these two back from throwing a good old wedding shindig!
I'm not sure if I've laughed so much throughout a wedding day before... I mean there's always laughter and so much happiness going around when shooting a wedding but my jaw was a little sore the next day from the amazing vows, the bridal party having a party, and reception speeches!
Grace looked gorgeous & wore a beautiful Rue De Seine dress, the bouquets & reception styling was a combination of dark leafy foliage, warm oranges, rich reds, dark plum & pastels coloured floras loosely arranged to fit the whimsical forest style of the day.
Late afternoon with their bridal party they locked a padlock and threw away the key, popped & cheers champagne, hung out with horses, dodged through the forest filled with blackberry bushes & escaped the thunder, lightning & rain only by minutes before heading back to the reception. Loved every minute of telling their story... Here's to having dry clothes (now) sharing lots of laughs, enjoying good food, many stories, a shit lots of dancing and getting Grace + Chae getting married!
Finishing off the season and getting to do a couple of blogs gets me all giddy! Seriously though, it’s great to share such beautiful weddings and every wedding is unique but I feel super blessed to be able to tell a story through my lens on a regular basis… Adam + Ellen’s wedding was like a Bohemian dream, with a simple colour palette of white, navy, marsala, reds + raspberry put together with such an incredible eye for style from this gorgeous super talented bride. Ellen hand painted all her stunning signs shown throughout the day along with designing and painting the invites! The two of them along with their closest (bridal party) and family got ready together in the same house which was a stunner with so much character sitting on top of a hill overlooking the Matakana area. The guys were given greenstone to wear as gifts and the girls rocked their black Sage + Ivy robe’s whilst getting ready. There was an overload of eye popping goodness throughout the day and I was pretty much in heaven documenting it all so feast your eyes on the beautiful dress, hair + makeup creations, ceremony backdrop & the finest of hand painted signage!
Just wanted to say another thank you to the lovely Adam + Ellen for having me capture your day and for getting to witness two sweet souls tie the knot. x

Well where do I start with Hannah + Dan, these two never ceased to amaze me from day one organising their beautifully styled & very well thought out day from across the ditch and pulling it off with grace – these two sure know how to plan a wedding day!
We originally met at their ceremony venue and walked through the day – literally walking down Ponsonby Road, which is what they planned to do from the start to have a bit of fun with their bridal party before ending up at their gorgeous reception venue at the Sapphire Room. When I set eyes on this venue I could definitely imagine that something pretty special was going to be set up there – picture a loft-style space with concrete walls, large windows, an open kitchen, and massive sliding doors opening into the beautiful open dining area… Amazing!
Hannah looked absolutely stunning in her dress by Carla Zampatti and on the day she said “I’ve been waiting to wear this dress for a year now” and I’m pretty sure Dan would say it was worth the wait!! Hair & Makeup was beautifully done by the talented Sophie Beddoes & the combo of violet-toned flowers, white roses & lush foliage for the girls’ flowers, boys’ buttonholes, & a stunning floral backdrop arrangement for their ceremony was put together by Blush. The beautiful pale violet bridesmaid dresses were by Alice McCall, suits by Pepper Sydney & last but certainly not least the stunning wedding invites & stationery by Coocachuu.
From start to finish it was an amazing day, filled with lots and lots of laughter and I’m sure many memories. They were surrounded by their nearest & dearest who had travelled from near and far just like Hannah + Dan themselves, coming back across the ditch to tie the knot in the same location they met – no wonder Dan was rewarded with a “hopeless romantic” trophy by his best man!
I’m always so thankful to do what I do and when a client picks me to document their big day it truly fills me with joy so thank you to Hannah + Dan for having me a part of your day, you’re such beautiful souls & it definitely shows through your wedding day your love for one another and the people closest to you. Xx

Alexi + Sarah wanted a simple, stress-free day to remember, surrounded and celebrated by their closest… I can pretty much say without a doubt that’s what they pulled off! In a beautiful country setting, with a bit of a boho feel and a rustic barn for the festivities, Sarah was walked into their late afternoon ceremony by her proud father as he handed over his beautiful daughter to the super down-to-earth Alexi. Their little son Beau is one seriously cute kid and really knew how to rock his shirt and chinos just like dad. The guests were treated to an incredible grazing table, which anyone wanting some inspo must see!
Thanks Alexi + Sarah for having me be part of your day and congratulations on making it official!
